#NailedIt: Watermarble Progress!

It’s been two years since I created Lumos Nails. And in these two years, I can clearly say that my greatest achievement has been kinda sorta nailing the Watermarble.

Now, I’m no expert. Far from it. But, when I first tried a watermarble and failed, I had no idea that some day I’d be able to actually get it right! I’d leave you some tips here, but I’m sure you’ve read tons already! What I can leave you with, is this: Do not lose hope. You can do it. All you need to do, is practice. 🙂

Now, take a look at my #WatermarbleJourney, and tell me – what’s yours been like?

I may have started Lumos in 2015, but my first watermarble happened before that. I used Maybelline Color Show polishes for this one. Clearly, they don’t work very well. Ugh. Such ugly, flooded cuticles.
I decided to give the Watermarble a shot again a couple of months later. This time, with brand new nail polishes. These were also Maybelline Color Show, and they haven’t worked very well at all, but I remember being really impressed with myself for having done this.
After the last fiasco, I did try to Watermarble a bunch of times, but they didn’t work at all. That was, until a bunch of Indian nail artists recommended these Reliance Trends nail polishes. When I did this, I literally jumped out of bed and started screaming. It isn’t the greatest, I know – BUT this is the closest I ever got to a watermarble, and I was so ecstatic.
Yeah, I bought around 8 of these nail polishes from Reliance Trends once I saw they actually watermarbled – and I went nuts the next few months. 🙂
The bubbles kind of ruined this, but I was able to kind of control the design and I thought that was really cool.
THIS. This has been my favouritest watermarble ever. And I did it. Can you believe that? ME. The designs on both the fingers are EXACTLY the same. If this isn’t an achievement, I don’t know what is!

I know I still have a ton of practicing to do before I can crown myself the watermarble queen, but seeing this pictures together is really inspiring.

I’d love it if you guys would share your watermarble journeys with me too! Share your collages with me, with #MyWatermarbleJourney, and we’ll all hang and support one another. 🙂
