A week or so ago, I participated in a marathon. Not the running kind, a nail art kind. I dolled up 5 girls’ nails and even got to do some stuff on some guys’ nails. I was so amazed at this!
Here’s how it started. I was bored, and had some of my nail art stuff with me, so I thought, hey, let’s have some fun. And my ever-ready guinea pig best friend was most happy to oblige. I love doing her nails. She rarely tells me what to do. Mostly, she just sits there and watches while I experiment on her, and talks about everything under the sun. She’s getting married soon and moving to another country and I honestly don’t know what I’ll do without her. 😦 Anyway, here’s what I did for her. A monochorome houndstooth stamping.
After this, the ball just got rolling. 9 people. One after another. I’m not going to deny how much fun it was! I mean, I just kept at it for hours. And I was really happy with the kind of work I did. But I learned something that day. Inhaling all those fumes? Bad. I was so wuzzy that night, it was odd. I wish there was some solution to this. I mean, I’m just an amateur. But imagine the state of nail artists around the world. Inhaling all those fumes all day… I shudder to think what their state must be day in and day out. 😦
On a happier note, here are some pictures from Origami Nail Art Marathon Day. 😛
The guys ran away when I pulled out the camera. 😛 But what do you guys think? 🙂 Let me know in the comments.
